Rowan Drilling: Rowan Gorilla VI PA/GA & Integrated Drillers Talkback System Project

Satcom Global (formerly AND Group) was selected by Rowan Drilling in 2012 to design, supply and commission a dual redundant PA/GA system on the Rowan Gorilla VI in the Netherlands.

The system chosen for the project was the Industronic INTRON-D communication and public address system, due to its flexibility and reputation for reliability in industrial applications. The dual reduandant system is also equipped with integrated drillers intercom system.

The project took place over a two year period with a value of over £300,000. The system was engineered to stringent quality controls to meet PFEER, DNV and NORSOK standards.
