Rowan Drilling: Rowan Gorilla V Fire & Gas Project

One of the first projects Satcom Global (AND Group) undertook for Rowan Drilling Ltd was in 2012 for the Rowan Gorilla V platform located off the UK.

We were selected to design and supply an integrated fire and gas detection system with a dedicated HMI (human machine interface). The systems supplied to meet the needs of the Rowan Gorilla V were the Autronica AutroSafe 4 fire and gas detection system and the AutroMaster IEMS (Integrated Emergency Management System).  The interfacing systems provide the Rowan Gorilla V with the ultimate tools for detecting fire and gas on board the rig as well as the ability to view exactly what is happening in an emergency situation.

The project was delivered by Satcom Global to meet DNV, NMD and NORSOK classification requirements.
