We would like to advise customers that Inmarsat has released revised EoL (End of Life) dates for its Fleet services, specifically MPDS.
The EoL dates for the Fleet family of services are now as follows:
Please note that Inmarsat remains committed to supporting the Inmarsat C maritime safety service, which will be migrated onto the Inmarsat-4 satellite constellation, as the Inmarsat-3 satellite constellation moves closer to reaching the end of its lifespan.
Service Migration Options:
If you are a current user of Fleet 33, 55 or 77, we advise that you start thinking about a new communications service to meet your needs. Satcom Global is best placed to advise you on a wide range of new generation solutions that will offer better performance and value than the aging Fleet service. 1. FleetBroadband 4GB and 8GB No Commitment Promotion
Inmarsat has just launched a promotion offering the chance to trial a 4GB or 8GB plan with no commitment. Users can experience the benefits of the plentiful data plans with no risk of penalty, should they wish to downgrade or deactivate at a later date. More info can be found here.
2. Iridum Double Value Promotion
A number of Iridium OpenPort plans are available with double the amount of data and/or voice for the same price as the regular plans. These plans offer extremely good value with no lengthy commitment period. Find out more here.
