Iridium LRIT (Long Range Identification and Tracking)  is a maritime system using satellite connectivity to report on ships’ identity, location, date and time to the owner's headquarters or to the flag authority at regular intervals.

LRIT is now a mandatory requirement for ships on international voyages and all ships of 300 gross tonnage must be compliant with the LRIT regulations set forth by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
