- Our anti-virus solution uses the award winning ESET NOD 32 antivirus software to guard vulnerable entry points, provide proactive response to threats and quick on-demand scanning.
- Setup is quick and easy, managed remotely by our technical team.
- Updates are sent via AFT to a dedicated folder on the main comms PC, which will then be configured to share the updates with all machines on board the vessel.
- Following the initial update, weekly Nano updates ensure protection is kept fully up to date and one step ahead of the latest threats.
- Smaller than traditional anti-virus updates, our Nano updates average approximately 400kb per week, making them suitable for a wide range of maritime users, including those with modest data communication bundles. If required, we can even pause an update for a week until a monthly data allowance is reset.
Terms and Conditions
- Vessels must have IPSignature 3 installed for AFT capability
- Setup includes initial full update which is approximately 50MB in size. Following the initial update Nano updates will be sent weekly to keep protection fully up to date. If a vessel misses 4 weeks of Nano updates, it may be required to receive the full update again.
- For optimum protection, we recommend vessels also complete a full update to ESET servers for programme components at least every 6 months. We suggest that that is done whilst docked in port where a land based data connection is available.
- Anti-virus available with a minimum commitment of 12 months, with option to renew for additional 12 months at the end of term
- Transfer of licenses is not available within the 12 month commitment term
- Satcom Global cannot accept responsibility for any updates exceeding the average or approximate file sizes referenced within the document.
