New and improved GlobalNet customer portal for satellite communications management

We are delighted to officially announce the launch of our new GlobalNet portal for online management of satellite communication services.  The new portal is providing Satcom Global customers with an improved user-friendly platform to activate and deactivate services, buy prepay services and set up alerts, instantly.

Satcom Global customers who are familiar with the original GlobalNet, are continuing to benefit from the many popular features following migration to the new portal, but now also enjoy a bright, easy to use dashboard with improved functionality. The intuitive new site also hosts a new built-in reporting portal, and additional services are now available for self-activation such as the recently launched Iridium Certus plans.

Designed and managed by Satcom Global’s in-house product development team, the new GlobalNet portal was developed to support the needs of both our end-user customers who wish to have more visibility of their services, as well as our integral channel of dealers and resellers who now benefit from more advanced online tools to support their own customer bases with satellite communications provisioning and purchases.

A number of key Satcom Global channel partners were involved in beta testing to explore the new features of the portal as well as ensure ease of use.  The improved usability of the new online site was designed to guide users with varying satellite communications knowledge through service activations and purchases easily, with prompts to help avoid mistakes. It also allows users to take more active control of their services with advanced functionality for the set-up of watch and alerts, which help customers monitor and manage usage, avoiding overspend.

GlobalNet is set to become the one stop portal for all Satcom Global services online, with the in-built reporting tool being the first major service to be integrated.  Within the reporting tool, customers can request and subscribe to reports providing wide ranging information and intelligence on active services and usage. Soon, other existing Satcom Global value-added services will be relocated to the GlobalNet site, in addition to upcoming exciting new features – watch this space!
