Satcom Global would like to advise customers that Iridium has announced the "end of life" of its military secure 9505A satellite handset, a device popular with government and military personnel.
Although the handset is no longer available to purchase, Iridium and Satcom Global are continuing to support the legacy of the product by continuing the supply of accessories and spare parts, as well as repair services.
For those working in military and government channels looking to purchase a new rugged and reliable global satellite phone that is both secure and can withstand the elements, we would suggest the Iridium 9555 and Iridium Extreme 9575.
